Cultural Dances Celebrated in Performing Arts Classes

This term the year 3 students have been learning a variety of cultural dances each week during their Performing Arts sessions with Ms Clark. They have also learnt about the history, purpose and importance of dance from different countries.

During some of these sessions, students have had the privilege of learning more about a particular cultures dance from parent volunteers from the Featherbrook P-9 College community.

A big thank you to Mrs Anuradha Gomadam Sundaram, Mrs Sukanya Bagade and Mr Tieni Ruapene for sharing your invaluable knowledge about your culture and teaching the students a dance. From this unit, students have developed a deeper understanding and appreciation of different countries and their cultural dances.
